Imo State: Gov. Ihedioha Sworn-in SSG

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Mr. Emeka Ihedioha has sworn-in the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Uche Onyeagucha.

In a press statement signed the Chief Press Secretary to Secretary to the State Government, Prince MacDonald Enwere and made available to newsmen informed that the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance was administered by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Paschal Nnadi at the Executive Chambers of the Government House, Owerri.

In his remark, the Governor described the Office of the Secretary as the engine room of the Government, expressing his confidence on the new SSG and charged him to strive to uphold the confidence reposed on him.

The Governor used the opportunity to extend a hand of fellowship to all Imolites and called the people to join hands in rebuilding the State.

Governor Ihedioha reiterated that he shall not disappoint the people of the State who gave him their mandate and directed the Head of Service and Permanent Secretary to ensure a proper handover to the new SSG and the Chief of Staff.

In his reaction, the new SSG who spoke in his dialect, thanked the Governor for the appointment and promised his unwavering support to the Governor.

Those present in the swearing-in include, the Deputy Governor of the State – Hon. Gerald Irona, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly – Rt. Hon. Chinedu Offor, the Chief Judge of the State – Hon. Justice Paschal Nnadi, the Head of Service, Chairman, Imo state Council of Ndi Eze – HRM Eze Samuel Ohiri, the State Party Chairman and other personalities.
