The Commissioner of Police (CP), Kaduna State Command, Alhaji Ahmad Abdurrahaman has called for a meeting of religious and traditional stakeholders to discuss security issues following the recent youth violence at Unguwan Yero and Kwaru communities within Kaduna metropolis.
The meeting which was attended by all the District Heads and their respective village Heads of communities in Kaduna-North at the State Police Command Headquarters and chaired by the Commissioner were tasked to co-operate with the effort of police to curtail crime and ensure peaceful coexistence among the diverse groups in the communities.
Alhaji Abudurrahaman also enjoined the leaders to talk to their youths on the need to eschew violence and live in harmony with one another.
The Commissioner assured the leaders that, the State Police Command under his watch will ensure that justice prevail and all the perpetrators of the recent violence at Unguwan Yaro and Kwaru will be fished out and brought to justice.
He was of the opinion that all the black spots and other criminal hideouts in the Command will be raided on daily basis, saying the Command is battle ready and will need the active cooperation of all the stake holders.
All the leaders in attendance therefore pledged their support to the Command to ensure that lives and properties of the citizens are protected and that hoodlums are not allowed to incite violence in Kaduna.
