The Commandant Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Major General Jamil Sarham, has underscored the importance of loyalty and valour to the military profession.
Gen Sarham made this revelation at the Professor Mahmoud Yakubu Hall, Afaka today, when he decorated 103 soldiers of the Nigerian Army serving at the NDA who had recently been promoted to higher ranks.
The Commandant averred that it was vital for the soldiers to remain loyal to the military and the nation as well as face their duties with courage and responsibility.
He reminded them of the high faith and trust Nigerians have in the Armed Forces and charged them to always act responsibly and courageously in the face of danger.
Among the decorated soldiers was the Academy Regimental Sergeant Major, MWO Sa’ad Mohammed, who was elevated to the rank of Army Warrant Officer.
Other beneficiaries of the promotion who were decorated with their new ranks include Master Warrant Officers, Warrant Officers, Staff Sergeants, Sergeants, Corporals and Lance Corporals.
