To Avert Flood, Promote Cleanliness: Rotaract Club Kaduna Engages Sabo Tasha Communities on Proper Waste Management

To portray cleanliness and avert flooding, the Rotaract Club of Kaduna CB has engaged the citizens of Sabo-Tasha in sensitization actions and habits that will enable them promote proper waste management.

According to Connect President and Members Rotaract Club of Kaduna CB
RID 9125 Nigeria, Rtr. Daniel Abah in a statement said the occasion is to mark her Community Sensitization and Cleanup in partnership with Renewable Energy and Environmental Sustainability (REES) for Africa Initiative with the theme: “Be Your Environment Campaign” at Sabo Tasha Community Market, Kaduna South, on 17th August, 2019.

“The partnership that satisfy the bottom line in garnering a wider reach of people, exposing and sensitizing the public on how to imbibe sustainable environmental practices met fair representation that is now been expressed through media partners active support and relations in ensuring awareness material are utilised by ROTARACT CLUB OF KADUNA” he said.

Connect Abah was of the opinion that their action is to enable renewable energy access and promote environmental sustainability across target audience both individual and households.

He noted that the Sensitization is also to increasing the consciousness of Sabo COMMUNITY environ, about ailing environment and clean-ups so that they in turn Sensitize others about the effects of improper disposal.

Connet Abah opined that their sole aim was to create awareness and show the indigenes and communicants how to take care of their environment for sustainable development.

Regarding the issue of flooding which has affected several places, the Connect President said it is not novel that improper waste disposal contributes to the menace which is why they are focusing on sustainable development goals 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

ROTARACT CLUB OF KADUNA (Community Based) in her focus to promoting service to humanity in her sixth area of focus Water, Sanitation and Hygiene marks today as her Community sensitization and Cleanup in partnership with REES (Renewable Energy and Environmental Sustainability) for Africa Initiative, an NGO positioned to enable renewable energy access and promote environmental sustainability across target audience took to the street Be Your Environment Campaign that was held in Kaduna SABO COMMUNITY (MARKET) between the hours of 7am to 11am being the 17th of August, 2019.

“Our sole aim was to create awareness and show the indigenes and communicants how to take care of their environment for sustainable development.

“As regarding the issue of flooding which has affected several places, it is not novel that improper waste disposal contributes to the menace. We are focusing on sustainable development goals 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

“To further portray CLEANLINESS citizens of Sabo-Tasha were engaged with sensitization actions and habits (Using Placards) that promote proper waste management of an individual/ household level by Increasing the consciousness of the environ about the ailing environment and engaging the community to clean-ups and sensitizing other about the effects of improper disposal.
