2019 Election: Wake up to your slumber, against being use as killing machine, TRYF tells Nigeria youth

The National Chairman, The Think Right Youths Forum (TRYF) Comrade Sagir Baba Nationalist has stressed the need for youths to wake up from their slumber and stand against being used as political thugs and killing machines as 2019 general elections draws near.

Comrade Sagir Baba who stated this in a communique issued at the end of the TRYF Kaduna State Executive Council meeting on Youth Mandate and Violence Free Election in Kaduna opined that as the 75-80% Nigerian voters, the youths should find peaceful ways to key in into the right elective positions, appointments to enable them be among decision-making cabinets in state and federal levels.

According to him, a road-map to workable plans on fastest way to change youth negative to positive attitudes has been drawn during the discussions so that the youth can comply to and unanimously work round the clock for betterment of younger generations starting from 2019 general elections.

The communique reads “All attendees had agreed to break the barriers that confuse talented and ambitious young individuals to feel it’s difficult for them to fill positions that should be occupied by them.

“We unanimously agreed with awareness and sensitization programmes on “Youths Mandate & Violence Free Elections 2019” to take place round the three zones especially in each of the most sensitive LGA per political zone.

“Techniques were explained and guided on some of the critical ways and whys that anti-youth’s progress normally uses as technicalities to turn right thinking youths into their political touts during electioneering periods, but dump them at the bin immediately after being emerged winners instead of carrying them along.

“Summarized history on how our great nation founding fathers fought ceaselessly for freedom from the British colony was briefly given as references.

“After further consultation on politicking, we had unanimously agreed to publicly declare our collective support to right candidates who are the best of our choices for elective offices” He said.

Meanwhile, in his remark Hon. Umar Doka enjoined Nigerian youths to stand forth and stop been used as political thugs, lamenting that the youth attitude of killing their poorest closest brother or sister in the name of politics while rich men send their children abroad for western and religious education is dishearten.

“we’re the leaders of today not tomorrow. It’s a high time a Nigerian youth to become a top political leader and lastly prayed for participants’ safety arrival back to their various destinations” He stressed.
