As activities ahead of 2023 general election pop up, the people of Taraba state have given the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a red card to vacate power after 24 years of misruled in the state.

The Taraba people spoke through Senator Manzo George Anthony, representing Taraba North Senatorial districts of the State, Nigeria who is leading the formation of the next Taraba government under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the state.

Recall that, Sen. Manzo recently spoke to journalists after picking his expression of interest and nomination form at the international conference center, ICC Abuja to contest for the APC gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressive Congress in Taraba State.

Represented by Honourable Member in Taraba, Alhaji Bello Abdul and other Taraba House members, Sen. Manzo said the time have come for the Taraba people to tap from his vast experience in Politics to witness mass transformation in the state.

“My name is honourable Bello abdul I’m from jalingo Taraba state. we are on behalf of my boss distinguish Senator Manzo George Anthony about to pick up his nomination form as a gubernatorial candidate of all Progressives Congress Taraba state. That is why I’m here and I’m calling on our dear great party and also our teaming youth, Nigerian and Taraba as this is the right time to stand up and vote people like Senator George Manzo.

“Im calling on my people to come and support the good people of Taraba state this is the time to stand up and vote people who have the experience, who are always ready for the development of their people and the state at large; so I’m calling on the good people of the state that they should come up and support Senator George Manzo.

” I think he is the right candidate for the state now if at all we are ready and we want our state to grow because our state is completely down, we can not compare it with other state. So that is why I came around to pick up a nomination form for him.

“I think as I speak with you we don’t know anything about PDP for now. Nobody can vote for PDP because they have been ruling up till now but if you go to Nigeria at large Taraba is the most backward state due to lack of leadership. So I think this is the right time we should stand up and do the changes. We believe he can do better that is why we are here to pick this form for him” he said.

He craved fairness, equity and justice in the forthcoming party primaries and the subsequent elections in the state and the country at large.

He said the odds favoured him whether in terms of academic or professional qualifications, experience or even on the issue of zoning or rotation of plum political positions in the state.
