2023 Senatorial Seat Tussel: Abubakar Ohere picks form to unsit Kogi Central Senator

The former Commissioner of Works and Housing in Kogi State, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiku Ohere has picked All Progressive Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to run for Logo Central Senatorial seat in the 10th Assembly to sit out the present Senator in the 9th Assembly.

Speaking to journalists shortly after picking his form at the APC heaquarters in Abuja, the incoming Senator at the 10th National Assembly said the purpose of his interest to run is to showcase his goodwill and support for the next President, Alhaji Yahaya Bello come May, 2023.

The former Commissioner of Works informed that his representation in the Federal Assembly level is also to enhance proper legislation that would help the Executive to do work.

Mr Ohere opined that he would bring to the 10th Assembly positive packaged legislations that would enable the Federal Government to establish pharmaceutical company and reconstruct Nigeria roads bad traps among others.

According to him, there are many infrastructurals in Nigeria that are begging for attention, noting that the challenged issues would be thrown up for legislations that would help the Executive look inward and assist the people of Kogi State, not only Kogi Central.

“The purpose of my representation in the Federal Assembly level is to enhance proper legislation that would help the Executive to do work.

“By this, l am saying coming to represent people of Kogi Central district, we are going to package all the necessary legislations that would enable the Federal Government to establish pharmaceutical company and, our roads among others.

“We have many infrastructural in Nigeria that are begging for attention, so our purpose in the National Assembly would be how to throw up such legislations that would help the Executive to look inward and assist the people of Kogi State, not only Kogi Central.

“So come 2023, a new President would be install in the person of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

“Answering questions on his resignation to run for Senatorial seat, Alhaji Ohere informed that every candidates coming out for various political positions are open to options, adding that in as much as they are loyal party members, they believed in party supremacy and going to work in timetable with the party regulations and guidelines.

“Don’t forget also that in the current despensesion, the youth demography shows that governance is shifting from older version to the youth demography and when l say the youth demography, l mean the elites class that have proper understanding of the challenges of Nigeria.

“By that, his Excellence representing that youth Constituency to by this l am convinced that the youth would not disappoint him in May 2023, they would surely vote him in as the next President.

“Moreso, when you look at his petigries and Credentials, Governon Bello has performed well in terms of unifying Kogi citizens never mind the background, geographic formation and ethnic configuration of Kogi State.

“We are believing God that by the time Alhaji Bello become the next President, he would throw up a system that would harmonized and unifyed Nigerians.

“So this is why we are sure by May 2023, Nigerians would give him their support, requisites needed and the enablement to saw him as the next President of Nigeria.
