The Honorable member, representing Ihiala Federal Constituency of Anambra State Rep Pascal Agbodike, has described the 2025 Appropriation Bill as the budget of economic transformation that will address the dwindling Nigeria’s economy.

He stated this in an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the proposed 2025 budget presented by President Bola Tinubu to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday.

According to him, President Tinubu is getting it right and promised that Nigerians should expect positive change, noting that while the earnings of the budget is anchored on tax, Nigerians should imbibe the attitude of paying tax.

The Lawmaker lamented that paying of tax is like joining hands in contributing to economic growth and development of the country.

Hon Agbodike (APGA) charged the opposition parties to engage in constructive criticism of the present administration.

,“When the ruling party is getting it right, we have no option than to support what they are doing; our criticism should be constructive. Mr President is trying and he needs our support to deliver on his Renewed Hope Agenda.

“When you refuse to contribute your quota, how can this nation move forward? You are not paying tax to the ruling party nor are you paying Mr President. But you are in Nigeria, hence we can come together and jettison any form of nepotism.

“Our number should be our strength, 200 and something million Nigerians. If we can come together, it will be a thing of strength.

“The President just presented the 2025 budget and I call it the budget of economic transformation owing to the present situation of the economy, it has been dwindling for the past years” he said.
