The National Presidents of the Catholic Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (President (CAMPAN), Sir Chimdi Oluoha has on Thursday fully represented the Association at the Media Parley 2025 organized by the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN).

During his remake, Sir Chimdi extended the best wishes of CAMPAN to the new Secretary General (SG) of CSN, Very Reverend Father Michael Banjo on his recent assumption of duty.

Some of the issues raised during the Parley included the get -rich-quick syndrome, neo paganism prevalent in society, the proposed change in the system of Education in Nigeria and the alleged call for the introduction of sharia in western Nigeria.

The SG, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Banjo during questions and answers shortly after addressing the media, affirmed that the CSN would come out with the position of the church as soon as the proposed education system became clearer.

Fr Banjo stressed the need for the formation of consciences to enable people to decipher evil and goods such as the family, school, religious bodies and the media to achieve the desired goal.

The CSN-SG appealed that the alleged call for sharia in western Nigeria should be handled with caution to avoid restrictions of personal rights and freedoms.
