A Leader Remembered: Ministry of Defence Condoles Buhari’s Family

The Ministry of Defence and the Nigerian Armed Forces has extended their deepest condolences to the family, government, and people of Nigeria on the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the Honourable Minister of State for Defence in a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday, President Buhari served with distinction in the Nigerian Military, rising to the rank of General and Military Head of State from 1983 to 1985.

The Ministry informed that Buhari He was elected as Nigeria’s President, serving from 2015 to 2023, and made significant contributions to the country’s modern political landscape.

President Buhari’s legacy is marked by honour, integrity, patriotism, and unwavering national service, which will forever be remembered in Nigeria’s history.

His steadfast belief in a united and indivisible Nigeria inspired countless individuals, and he was regarded as a role model by many Nigerians.

The Ministry of Defence prays that Allah grants President Buhari’s soul Aljanatul Firdaus.
