Adewale Ladenegan sworn-in as new Managing Director of Kaduna Refining and Petro-Chemical Company Limited

The newly sworn-in Managing Director of Kaduna Refining and Petro-Chemical Company Limited-KRPC, Mr. Adewale Ladenegan has assured the public that the Company will be a money generating company for Nigeria.

He gave the assurance in his speech shortly after the official hand-over ceremony between him and the out-going Managing Director, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha held at the KRPC conference hall in Kaduna Wednesday.

Mr. Adewale Ladenegan stated that after working on the maintenance of moribund refining facility plants, the Company will start pumping fuel which will allow Nigerians benefit affordable fuel products.

The new Managing Director promised to deal with the issues of unionism so that the company will have a harmony working relationship to move KRPC to a greater heighten.

Earlier in his handing over remark, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha called for the staff to give Mr. Ladenegan all the support needed to enable him work the same support given to him without bias to ethnic, religious or social status.

It may interest you to know that Nigeria ranked 12th largest oil producer in the world and holds over 35 billion barrel of proven crude oil reserves and acreages crude oil production output stood at 2 million barrels per day.

The current estimated nation wild petrol consumption is reported to be 33 million liters daily of which well over 80% of it is imported.

Nigeria has four moribund oil refineries with combine installed capacity to refine 445 bb/d of crude oil and over the years, these refineries have persistently been operated at below 35% of their installed capacity efficient.

However, Kaduna Refinery that has 110 bb/d crude refine capacity rarely operate at above 30% efficiency of its installed capacity, the question now is will the new Managing Director bring it to functioning.
