Visually impaired students of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, have been presented with mobility aids.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Disability Matters, Mr. Chuks Ezewuzie, presented the items when the students paid him a courtesy call.
The Association led by its Chairman Comrade Emmanuel Nnamani explained that the purpose of the visit was to introduce their newly elected members to the Special Adviser as well as intimate him on some of their challenges while seeking his assistance.
He equally appreciated him for his doggedness to see that the welfare of Persons with Disabilities in Anambra State is properly taken care of.
Addressing the group, Mr. Ezewuzie, a lawyer thanked and encouraged them to remain steadfast, urging them not to see their conditions as a barrier to achieving their goals in life.
He informed them that though Nnamdi Azikiwe University is a Federal Government Institution, Governor Willie Obiano extends his magnanimity to all persons in Anambra State irrespective of their place of origin and reaches out to all institutions in the State.
Mr. Ezewuzie further encouraged them to enumerate their challenges, promising that his office will collaborate with them to proffer solutions.
