The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje has on Monday bemeaoned that any organization in Nigeria which is not productive through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is a liability, saying productivity, no doubt, contributes to the national GDP.
Ganduje stated this in his address when the newly appointed Director General (DG) of National Productivity Center (NPC), Alhamdulillahi Baffa Dan-Agundi and other political appointees paid him a familiarization visit at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
The APC National Chairman pointed out that the move would make the party alive, progressive and believed that to be replicated by other geopolitical zones.
He therefore lauded the efforts of the NPC Boss for exhibiting high sense of commitment during the last election when he served the party’s Presidential Campaign Council meritoriously.
“Productivity is no doubt, contributes to national GDP, and any organization which is not productive is a liability. So we are appointing you, an action man to bring productivity.
“When you were appointed also as a member of the national campaign Council, you did a lot in mobilizing you young men and women for our party and we could see the impact, we won the election overwhelmingly.
“So, I’m not surprised now that you’re mobilizing young men and women- very active. They are not looking for funds from the government, but looking for funds from sources of what we call Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“This makes the party alive, this makes the party progressive. So we thank you for all these. We believe this will be replicated by other geopolitical zones” Ganduje stressed.
Speaking on the National Youths Summit, Ganduje mandated the Nigerian youths to embrace the forthcoming Summit to discuss and proffer solutions to the various challenges and for the development of the country.
“You know President Tinubu in his last independence day speech, said he will give the young men and women (the youths) the chance to discuss issues pertaining to Nigeria.
“And this is a preparatory ground for that because you’re mobilizing men and women whose concern is to see they can be protective, they can improve the state as a party – improve the living conditions of the teeming Nigerians” he noted.
Earlier in his speech, Alhamdulillahi Baffa Dan-Agundi charged the other political appointees that came along with him not to see their appointments as their own alone but carry other Party members along.
