The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China has join forces to tackling poverty in Nigeria by investing in youth empowerment through basic training and entrepreneurship development.
At a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, HE, Yu Dan Hai, agreed that the two parties can team up to enhance youth development and empowerment in Nigeria and China.
He informed that China has already lifted millions of its citizens out of poverty and would readily assist Nigeria do the same thing for its teeming population.
The Ambassador maintained that the nation’s main political party, the Chinese Communist Party, has grown its membership officially beyond 90 million members, even as he offered to partner with Nigeria in deepening civil rule in the country.
The envoy added that the collaboration of the APC as the largest political party in Africa and the China Communist Party would further develop the running of political parties in both countries with mutually beneficial ideas.
He commended the growing economic and bilateral relations between Nigeria and China, stating that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent visit to China has further cemented the diplomatic ties which he hopes will grow from strength to strength.
Responding, the National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who expressed delight over the visit lauded the envoy for finding time to visit the APC National Secretariat.
He thanked the Ambassador for the commitment of the Chinese government to the empowerment of Nigerian youths, just as he also commended China for the cultural and economic exchanges already being enjoyed by Nigerian youths.
