The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its heartfelt gratitude to the resilient people of Rivers State for their resounding support in Saturday’s Local Government Elections, where the Party secured 20 out of 23 chairmanship seats.
According to Felix Morka, CON, the APC National Publicity Secretary in a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday, the sweeping triumph is a clear vote of confidence in the APC-led administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda, which continues to deliver transformative, people-centered governance nationwide.
He salute the leaders, members, and supporters whose commitment powered this victory.
APC also commend the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) and security agencies for conducting a peaceful, credible, and transparent poll.
Morka urged all newly elected local government officials to redouble efforts in bringing meaningful development to the grassroots, in line with our Party’s vision of progress and prosperity for all.
The APC categorically rejects the reckless and unfounded allegations of electoral malpractice peddled by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
His outburst is nothing but a desperate smokescreen to mask yet another embarrassing failure of his African Democratic Congress (ADC), and a failed attempt to incite unnecessary tension in Rivers State.
We are confident that Rivers people, who have spoken decisively at the polls, will dismiss Atiku’s tired antics as the rantings of a serial presidential loser seeking relevance.
