Armenia Extends Helping Hand: Nigeria’s Evacuation Plan Takes Shape

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that Nigeria and Armenia have made significant progress in their collaboration to evacuate Nigerian citizens from Iran via Yerevan.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday by Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the Spokesperson,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja informed that the development follows a meeting between the Charge d’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in Iran, Abdulrasheed Omar Lawal and the Acting Director for the Middle East and Africa in the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Levon Petrosyan.

It is noted that the Nigerian Embassy in Iran requested safe passage for stranded Nigerians, and Armenia has graciously agreed to provide assistance.

According to the statement, the gesture highlights the importance of humanitarian cooperation and international solidarity during times of crisis.

it maintained that Nigeria values its strong diplomatic ties with Armenia and looks forward to further strengthening their relationship based on mutual respect and shared humanity.

The Nigerian government promised that it is working closely with Armenian authorities and international partners to coordinate a seamless evacuation process, ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.
