The operation, executed under Operation LAFIYA NAKOWA, is part of a renewed military offensive to dismantle terrorist hideouts and restore peace across the state.
Acting on credible intelligence, according to Lt. As the soldiers approached the Powerline axis, the terrorists opened fire, triggering a gun duel.

Recovered from the scene were a locally fabricated pistol, two Dane guns, three rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, a Baofeng radio, a motorcycle, and several other items used by the terrorists.
Commending the gallantry and swift response of the troops, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, Commander of 6 Brigade, praised their courage and professionalism.
He reaffirmed the Brigade’s unwavering commitment to securing Taraba State and urged residents to remain calm and vigilant.
“The troops will sustain the momentum until all criminal elements are flushed out. We urge citizens to support ongoing operations with credible and timely information,” General Uwa said.
