Corporate and wealthy individuals have been urged to assist the government in improving the healthcare sector for the betterment of the society.
Retired Air Vice Marshall Alkali Mohammed Mamu made the appeal at the lunching of Lami Fatima Cervical Cancer Foundation Book presentation in Abuja, Nigeria on Wednesday.
Represented by the Emir of Fika, Alhaji Mohammed Abali Ibn Idrissa, AVM Mamu who is the Baraden Fika noted that the public sector is in need of support from the people for the public to have a reliable and healthy lifestyle.
AVM Mamu called on the people to endeavor to visit primary healthcare centers for medical experts to ascertain the illness and prescribe the best medicine and how to guard against future preventive measures.
The Traditional Title Holder of Barade, literally meaning Generalissimo of Fika enjoined all to ensure the maintain a clean environment to guard against contracting diseases.
He however called on the health sector stakeholders to be proactive in having modern Cancer center to address the cases of different types of cancer amongst Nigerians.
“I am calling on the corporate and wealthy individuals to assist the three tiers of government in developing the public health sector for the less privileged to benefit from better and modern healthcare sector” he said.
