The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has approved the airlift of 582 students of Air Force Military School (AFMS) and Air Force Girls Military School AFGMS) to various States across the nation for their long vacation holiday.
The 582 students of AFMS and AFGMS were safely airlifted from Jos, Abuja, Enugu, Ilorin, Kaduna, Kano, Markurdi, Port Harcourt, Lagos and Yola for the various States.
Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force made this known to newsmen in a press statement on Friday in Abuja.
According to CAS, this is in a bid to ensure the safe arrival of its students back home for the holidays with their parents and families, both situated in Jos Plateau State.
He informed that the airlift, which was conducted using the C-130 heavy lift aircraft, commenced on 3 August 24.
CAS also affirmed that arrangements have been emplaced to ensure their airlift back to Jos at the end of the holidays.
