A delegation of former councillors from Jigawa State, who served under the administration of Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, paid a courtesy visit to him at his residence in Kano.
During the visit, they honored him with a plaque of appreciation, through the Forum Chairman, Alhaji Mustafá Isyaku Sholy, recognizing his exceptional leadership in settling all outstanding severance allowances owed to local government councillors in the state, dating back from 1999 to 2023.
In a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday by Mati Ali, the Personal Assistant on Media & Publicity to the Honourable Minister, Badaru was recognized for his groundbreaking achievement in settling the councillors’ allowances, a testament to his commitment to the welfare of his people.
The Forum of former councillors reiterated their support and loyalty to Badaru, who currently serves as the Minister of Defence, pledging their solidarity with him in all his political endeavors within Jigawa State.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Jallo and Alhaji Ahmed Rufai Gumel, among others.
The Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Mustafá Isyaku Sholy who presented the award, expressed gratitude for Badaru’s goodwill and support during his tenure as Governor.
