Benin ComWEEK 2022: NTA Zonal Director commends CAMPAN for sustainably communicating Christ through the media… as they paid sensitization visit

The Zonal Director of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Benin Zonal Network Centre, Barrister Paullin Igbano has commended the leadership of the Catholic Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (CAMPAN) Archdiocese for sustainably communicating Christ through the media.

She gave the recommendations when the Members of CAMPAN paid a sensitization visit to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Benin Zonal Network Centre as parts of activities marking the on going Communications Week (ComWEEK) in the Archdiocese.

She expressed her delight over the yearly messages by the Holy Father, Pope Francis, which she said, has not only improve the desires of members to know more about theology, but as well breakdown whatever that is happening in the world to viewers and listeners.

Barrister Paullin Igbano informed that the action of CAMPAN has enable Catholic media practitioners actualize what is enshrined in the Constitution of the country, especially as it got to do with the exercising of their fundamental human rights as members of the forth estate of the realm.

The NTA Zonal Director described the Catholic Media as an offshoot of the Archbishop of Benin City, His Grace, Most Reverend Augustine Akubeze, whom she described as a friend to the media station.

While commending the President of the Association, Ms. Ede Agho who led other members of CAMPAN ComWeek Local Organizing Committee to the station, for her wonderful effort at repositioning CAMPAN, promised that she would ensure that more NTA staff show active participation at the ComWeek activities.

She declared that Ms Ede who is also the Manager News and Current Affairs of the Station will never be left alone.

“The manager news and current affairs is our own, her goal is to reposition CAMPAN…if that is done, it will also bring glory to NTA,” she said.

Meanwhile, the ComWeek Committee Chairperson, Rosemary Okoduwa had earlier solicited for the NTA media coverage for the World day for Social Communications which she said was the major climaxed of the 2022 ComWeek

Amongst delegates at the sensitization visit led by the CAMPAN Ag. President include, Ede Agho also include Representatives from both print and electronic media houses across the state.
