Benue Community Receives Life-Changing Medical Care through NGO’s 3-Day Outreach

A Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, Apa-Agila Community Development Initiative (AACDI), has brought hope to the Apa-Agila Community in Benue State, through a 3 Days Free medical outreach.

The Initiative, launched a transformative free medical outreach program, bringing essential healthcare services to the people, of Apa-Agila, in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State from Friday, 11 April, 2025 to Sunday, 13 April, 2025.

The 3 days free medical outreach which kicked off at Apa Primary Healthcare Centre, saw the entire Community, evading the centre to seek medical attention.

The medical team comprised three medical Doctors, several Nurses and pharmacists, led by Dr Peter Aboh, a Chief Medical Consultant.

Declaring the free medical outreach open, the Chairman of Ado LGA Engr Sunny Oche represented by the Council Secretary, John Egwurube, lauded the Apa-Agila Development Initiative for their commitment to the development and progress of the Community.

He particularly, commended Chief Dr Ochapa Ogenyi the initiator, for his dedication and commitment to the development of the area.

In his speech, the Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Minority Leader in the Senate, Abba Patrick Moro expressed commitments to Community development in the State and the Senatorial District.

Represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief George Alli, Senator Moro said: “I am highly delighted with this initiative. I will continue to support it, in all directions that will move this project forward as I remain committed to improving healthcare access for all Communities in the nine Local Government Areas of the Senatorial zone.

“It is for this purpose that the Apa Primary Healthcare Center, which is already in use, today, was built.”

Senator Moro also, emphasized the importance of providing essential medical services to the rural populace, especially those who cannot afford it, commending those behind the Free Medical Outreach.

The Senator who earlier contributed supply of drugs, worth millions of Naira, towards the outreach program stated that: “Health is a fundamental right, I urge the Community to take advantage of the free medical services available,” underscoring the importance of preventive care and regular check-ups, “encouraging families to prioritize their health.”

Alli later paid courtesy call on Apa Ward Head, Chief Engr Moses Obande who thanked Senator Moro for always standing by the People of Apa-Agila ward in times of need.

Participants expressed gratitude for the initiative, highlighting the significant impact on their health and well-being.
