Catholic Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (CAMPAN) who works in various medial platforms across the country as well as Directors of Social Communications in Catholic Dioceses is expected to gather in Lagos for its National Convention.
In a statement by the National President of the Association, Mr. Patrick Osu informed that the Convention is slated to hold on the 2nd-to-5th of August, 2018 at Clementine Hall of Lumen Christi Resort and Cinemas located at Osapa in Lekki, Lagos State has its Theme: “The role of Catholic Media in Nation Building’’.
The statement which was made available to newsmen by the Chairman of the Lagos State Archdiocesan of CAMPAN and also the Chairman Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Convention, Mr. Tony Kelechi Agbugba, the convention will hold at the.
Revealed that the Convention will begin with a Holy Mass at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, Lekki by the Archbishop, His Grace Most Revered Alfred Adewale Martins as chief celebrant.
According to Mr. OSu, the Episcopal Chairman for Social Communications of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria and also the Auxiliary Bishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, Most Revered Dennis Isizoh will deliver a keynote address focuses on the theme and as well to declare the Convention open.
Meanwhile, the National Director of Social Communications at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN) Revered Father Dr. Christian Anyanwu will also speak on the topic, “The Catholic Church and the Communications Apostolate in Nigeria: An Overview’’.
According to the CAMPAN National President, You will also hard that the Chairman and Founder of Lumen Christi Television, Prince Soji Olagunju will address delegates on “Faith-based Media; a Catalyst for Citizens’ Formation and Reintegration’’ while the Founder of Catholic Television Abuja, National President of SIGNIS Nigeria, a former presenter of news at the African Desk at the Vatican Radio Rome and Director of Social Communications Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, Revered Father Dr. Patrick Alumuku will dwell on “Signis Nigeria and the Communications Apostolate: The Past, the Present and the Future.’’
