CAS pledges to support Nollywood in fostering positive image of AFN, host renowned actress Toyin

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has on Thursday acknowledged the positive impact the Nigerian Film Industry popularly known as (Nollywood) in showcasing Nigeria’s diverse and rich cultural heritage as well as its impact on international audiences.

This is even as CAS expressed his admiration for renowned Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham’s contributions to the Nigerian film industry and pledged NAF support to enhance more development in Nollywood.

He stated this when he played host to renowned Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, at his office in Abuja and made available to newsmen in a press statement by Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force.

CAS highlighted the importance of leveraging the influence and impact of Nollywood to foster a positive image of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) through showcasing its various achievements especially in the ongoing fight against all forms of criminality in the country.

Sir Marshal Abubakar assured her of NAF’s support through the provision of equipment required to interpret movies that would be mutually beneficial.

Earlier, Toyin Abraham shared her enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the role of storytelling in bridging gaps and fostering unity.

She expressed her commitment to projects that would portray the NAF and indeed the AFN in a positive light, while also highlighting the bravery and dedication of its personnel.

Our audience with the CAS was premise on her request for NAF equipment in shooting her upcoming movie, titled, ‘Alakada; Bad and Bougee.’

Toyin Abraham, a prolific actor, producer and director, is renowned for her roles in various movies such as, “Celebrity Marriage”, “The Ghost and the Tout” and many others was accompanied on the visit by her manager, Mr Samuel Olatunji.
