A children Worship centre have been blessed and opened at St. Mulumba’s Catholic Chaplaincy Okpanam, Delta State with a call on well meaning Catholic faithful to always contribute their quota towards the growth and dissemination of the gospel of Christ .
Rev. Fr. Dr Ugochukwu Andrew Anah, the Chaplain St. Mulumba’s Catholic Chaplaincy, Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, said this while blessing and declaring open the Children Worship Centre.
He said that the building was apt and would be a place where children would be taught all about Christ and His Holiness, adding that it would also help control distractions from children during masses.
He emphasized that children as the leaders of tomorrow, needed to be taught at the earliest stage of life, the basic Bible knowledge and Christ like life as it would help in modeling their lives as they grow older.
Fr. Anah prayed for God’s Grace, protection and blessings on the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ukadike for building such a very important Centre that would house the children of the Chaplaincy, noting that it would go a long way towards shaping the lives of the children in future.
Speaking to journalists, Mr. Philemon Ujedibie, who is the catechist of the Parish said that the building was important, explaining that it would go a long way in not only remodeling the life style of the children.
He also stated that the Centre would help reduce distractions and noise during masses in the main church building and commended Mr. and Mrs. Ukadike and family for their kind gesture by building a worship Centre for the children.
