Def. Minister, Service Chiefs, Humanitarian Minister visit Plateau to condole citizens

The Minister of State for Defence, Muhammed Bello Matawalle, Service Chiefs and Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation, Betty Edu on Sunday led a powerful Federal Government delegation to visit and commiserate with the government and good people of Plateau State over the sad event that occurred recently in Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by Henshaw Ogubike, the Director (Information & Public Relations) of the Ministry informed that the Federal Government delegations visited the affected areas of Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin where they held a stakeholders’ meeting with the people of the affected communities.

Recalled that there was an attack on communities in three Local Government Areas of Plateau state recently where many lives were lost.

They also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Caleb Mutfwang where they held fruitful discussion on how to stamp out insecurity from the State.

While condoling the people of the affected communities, Matawalle reassured them of the Federal Government’s commitment to fighting all forms of criminalities that have bedeviled our communities and nation in general.

“Mr. President has directed that we visit you people and to reassure you that Military will restore peace in the affected communities and that the perpetrators of this dastardly act will be arrested,” he said.
