…as Agbohmere promise to re-engineer Edo governance, Osunbor says no impediment can stop APC from reclaiming Edo

Blessing Agbohmere, Edo North and Professor Oserheimen Osunbor (Edo Central) aspirants, contesting in the forthcoming governorship election have on Thursday picked their Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat Abuja.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after picking their forms, Agbohmere who is the APC Zonal Organizing Secretary in the 2023 general elections, assured to re-engineer Edo governance, build Metropolitan Cities, make Edo tourism destination and establish Edo Construction Company among, if elected Governor.
According to him, winning the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State will be made easy as the APC candidate because of his popularity, integrity and being loved by the President Tinubu and as a son of Adams Oshiomhole.
Agbohmere expressed optimism that APC would win the next governorship election in Edo State not to allow President Tinubu to be mocked again.
“I want to build Edo Metropolis City 1 and 2 because Edo city currently is congested, as a result, house rent are very expensive for our people.
“Edo State has no reason to suffer when it comes to road networks. My administration will focus on Edo Construction Company which will construct all the roads and provide services to other states, by so doing we can generate more income.
“I have a plan to make Edo State a tourism destination because you can not go from South-west to other region without pass through Edo State.
“I am the best candidate among all the aspirants and with me winning Edo State will be made easy. I am an Asiwaju son, he loves me so much. I am his biggest fan in the South-south, in Edo state and the entire Niger Delta.
“Adams Oshiomhole is my father, he loves me so much and he has agreed that I am the best aspirant contesting this election.”
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was mocked during the last General election and such should not be allowed again in 2027.
“As a governor I will ensure that I implement the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu if given opportunity.
“We should make sure that our party win the next governorship election in Edo State. We should not allow our President to be mocked again. We should do the right thing by make sure that the party concede the ticket to that person who the people of Edo people love, who has integrity, who is educated in governance and has stable character, and that person is Dr. Blessing Agbohmere.
“So winning election will be made easy with me as the APC candidate and we shouldn’t allow our President to be mocked again” he narrated.
Also speaking, the Former Governor of Edo State in 2007, Professor Oserheimen Osunbor (Edo Central) informed that the coming election is a MUST WIN for Edo State APC, maintaining that No impediment, no matter how contrived and from whatever source, can stop the great
party APC from reclaiming Edo in 2024.
Osunbor advocated that the mistakes which made APC to lose the State to PDP in 2020 must not be allowed to afflict us a second time.
According to him, his supporters would want to see Edo State resources being used to develop the State and transform the lives of the people for the better as they wait to give him a resounding victory in the September 21 governorship election.
“Recall that last Friday 19 January, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Felix Morka, Esq, issued a Press Statement to the effect that
all interested aspirants for the Edo governorship election 2024 are free to come and collect their forms. Pursuant to that Statement, I have come here today to pick up the Expression of interest and Nomination Forms.
For APC as a party, Edo State is a low-hanging fruit. We must not lose this opportunity to reclaim it with me as candidate. My popularity and acceptability spread across the three Senatorial Districts of Edo State and even beyond APC.
“I know that my supporters, well wishers and all people of goodwill across Edo State and beyond will be elated and relieved to see me here at the APC National Secretariat to collect these forms. Edo people are yearning for good governance.
“They remember very well my excellent performance as governor for 17½ months from 2007 to 2008 and want to see me back in Osadebe Avenue as governor-hence I have christened my Manifesto: THE REBIRTH OF EDO FOR EXCELLENCE.
Now we have taken the first step. We will not look back. Rather, we are looking forward to the direct primaries promised us by the leadership of the party. I am confident that the party will conduct proper primaries, devoid of undue influence and manipulations. By the grace of God our victory is sure” he stated.
