Eid-el-Kabir: COAS Commends Troops’ Sacrifice, Calls for Sustained Courage

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has extended his warm greetings to the officers, soldiers, and families of the Nigerian Army on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir.

In a goodwill message made available to newsmen in Abuja on Friday by Lieutenant Colonel APPOLONIA ANELE, the Acting Director Army Public Relations, the COAS commended the troops for their unwavering commitment, gallantry, and selfless service to the nation, describing them as a beacon of courage and sacrifice.

The COAS noted that Eid-El-Kabir symbolizes the essence of sacrifice, a virtue that mirrors the daily lives of soldiers.

He urged troops to remain resolute and draw renewed strength from the spiritual significance of the season.

Reflecting on the Nigerian Army’s achievements, the COAS acknowledged the gradual restoration of peace in many parts of the country, attributing the gains to the bravery, loyalty, and professionalism of the troops.

The COAS honored the legacies of gallant warriors who have paid the ultimate price in service to the nation and stood with their families during the festive period.

He reiterated the Nigerian Army’s resolve to defend the country’s sovereignty and combat emerging security threats, calling on troops to remain disciplined, united, and mission-focused.

The COAS expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support and strategic direction in strengthening national security architecture.

As the Eid celebration unfolds, the COAS encouraged military personnel and their families to observe the season with gratitude, humility, and renewed dedication to service.
