Eid-el-Kabir; Ebonyi 1st Lady felicitates with Muslim community

Mrs. Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru, the wife of the Ebonyi State Governor has charged Muslims in the state to promote peace and unity which is the hallmark of the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

The wife of the Governor spoke when she Received in the audience the Association of Muslim Women in the State led by Hajiya Nkiruka Abass at her office’s new government house, Centenary City Abakaliki.

While felicitating the Muslim faithful in the state on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, Mrs. Nwifuru harped on the need to live in peace with one another and demonstrate the virtues of love and sacrifice which are the hallmarks of the Eid-El-Kabir festival.

The wife of the governor enjoined them to show love towards one another notwithstanding their ethnicity as Ebonyians are peaceful loving people they can attest to having made Ebonyi their home.

She urged the Muslim sisters to sacrifice for one another, irrespective of religious affiliations for the peace, growth, and development of Ebonyi State and Nigeria.

She used the opportunity to thank the Muslim community for their support for the All Progressive Congress (APC) during the 2023 general election in the State and promised to always carry them along in her programs.

Earlier the leader of the Association and the wife of the Chairman of Ebonyi State Muslim Forum, Hajiya Nkiruka Abass, assured Mrs. Nwifuru of their maximum support in bringing unity, and peace to the state.
