The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA ) has announced that due to the escalating crisis between Israel and Iran, the Federal Government is making arrangements for the emergency evacuation of stranded Nigerians in both countries.
According to Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, informed that the affected citizens are advised to follow security protocols and contact the nearest Nigerian Embassy or Mission for registration and further instructions.
The Ministry commended the efforts of Nigerian Missions in Tel Aviv and Tehran for their dedication to reaching out to the Nigerian community during this challenging time.
The Federal Government assured the public of its commitment to the safety and welfare of all citizens, working closely with international partners and local authorities to ensure a timely and secure evacuation.
Nigeria calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities, urging all parties to prioritize dialogue, respect international humanitarian law, and protect civilians.
The country reaffirms its commitment to peaceful conflict resolution, regional, and global peace and stability.
