Gov Nwifuru Commends peaceful conduct of bye election in Ebonyi

Francis Nwifuru, the Governor of Ebonyi State has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) for the smooth conduct of the Ebonyi South Senatorial Bye-election in the State on Saturday February 3rd.

He spoke to newsmen in Ebonyi South after monitoring the election.

He noted that the electoral umpire commenced the exercise on time and urged them to ensure that the votes of the people count in the exercise.

According to him as Chief Security Officer of the State he was in the zone to monitor the exercise , he thanked Security Agencies for maintaining law and order across the Zone during the exercise.

Governor Nwifuru lauded the people for conducting themselves properly before, during and after the voting process.

On his part, he Minister of Works Sen. David Umahi said that with the level of infrastructural and human capacity development already rolled out by Governor Nwifuru’s administration, he is confident that the All Progressives Congress would cruise to victory in the election.
