Nasarawa State governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has vowed to fish out perpetrators of the recent communal crisis in parts of the state that resulted in the loss of lives and displacement of people.

Engineer Sule made this known while delivering a speech shortly after administering the oath of office on newly appointed commissioners and special advisers, at a ceremony which held at the Lafia City Hall, on Wednesday.

According to the governor, Nasarawa State has been peaceful since the coming of his administration, mostly as a result of pragmatic steps out in place, as well as the continued support of the people.

He therefore expressed dismay over recent threat to this prevailing peace as a result of activities of some disgruntled elements, which he said is capable of breaching the existing peace among the diverse ethnic nationalities in the state.

Engineer stated categorically that his administration will not take it lightly with anybody bent on causing disaffection and instability in the state, stressing that perpetrators of the crisis will be fished out and made to face the full wrath of the law, no matter how highly placed.

He further warned that government will not allow what is happening in other parts of the world to be visited on the state, especially that the people of Nasarawa are known to be united and peaceful.

It would be recalled that only recently, crisis erupted in parts of Nasarawa State, involving Fulani and Tiv ethnic groups, which led to the loss of lives.
