Hardship: Nigeria economy gradually improving – Sen Ken

Ken Eze, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, on Monday urged Nigerians to be patient with the President Bola Tinubu’s administration as the nation’s economy would soon improve.

Senator Eze representing Ebonyi Central Zone, spoke in a place called Ngamgbo Ebiaji, Ezza North local government area, Ebonyi State after receiving blessings from the traditional rulers of Izzo, the largest bloc in Ezza clan.

The senator expressed optimism that people’s live will get better when the economy improves

According to him, there was much hope in the economy and that very soon, the masses will rejoice.

“The economy is thriving, the new government just resume close to a year now so you can not access the government now.

“With what we can feel, there is so much hope. In no distant time, the economy will come up

“These are predominantly farmers and they are close to their farmlands. So whatever you are experiencing in the urban is not being experienced here.

” They don’t want too much, what they want is to have their daily bread and they go to their farms, harvest their inputs and put the food on the table.

“So what you call hardship is not here because they are not used to living flashy lifestyles”, he stated.

“My focus is on the grassroot, I will make sure that all what we are doing is taking down to the grassroot .

“Our genda is community driven , these are the people that voted for us, these are the people we are representing. My program will soon be rolled out and I will capture every polling units in the senatorial zone”.

He thanked the traditional rulers for the honour and blessings they gave him which he said will spur him into action.

To solve water challenges facing the clan, the Senator sat he will drill hand- pumping boreholes for the community, build the solemn ground they always gather to deliberate on their affairs of the people, build modern class room block for the community in the community secondary school and continue to secure employment for more unemployed graduates of the clan.

Jude Okpor the state Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, who is an indigene of Izzo said the traditional blessing signified unity of purpose and oneness in Ezza clan.

“The issue of Ezza North and Ezza South is a mere administrative procreation. We witnessed the joy the traditional rulers, elders and the women have in receiving their own, this Ngamgbo Ebiaji is a place Izzo people receive very important people”, he stated.

Prof Humphrey Nwaobashi who is also a stakeholder in Izzo charged the senator to use his office to unit Ezza people pointing that he was lucky to be singled out for such a blessing from his maternal home.
