Hon Ossai Nicholas Ossai, the Delta State former third term member of the House of Representatives who defected from People Democratic Party (PDP) was on Wednesday usher into All Progressive Congress (APC) by the National Secretary, Senator Bashir Ajibola.
In his remarks, Ossai who represented Ndokwa East/Ndokwa West/Ukwuani of Delta State promised to abide by the rules and laws that APC constitution governs, adding that he have no other place than to come into APC to work for President Bola Tinubu and to strengthen his government.
He also assured to champion Asiwaju’s renewed hope in Delta State, work with the leadership of APC in the grassroots and make sure that APC takes over Delta State in 2027 by doing everything humanly possible to suppress PDP down.
According to him, the Umbrella has broken and the centre cannot hold which is why he came to be part of the teamwork in APC that is already shaping Nigeria in agricultural revolutions.
Hon. Ossai maintained that APC will take over the House of Assembly in his local government, and take over his federal constituency where I have spent 12 years.
“PDP today has broken. You ask a question, why is it not fixed? Because the centre cannot hold, and having seen a leader that not only organised a political party, but a leader that can organise the society and move the society forward.
“You don’t play the party politics when the head is sick. So I have come to be part of the teamwork of APC that is already shaping Nigeria, plus agricultural revolutions,
I’m happy with all APC governors who have gone into the agricultural sectors. Today, you will see our prices of food they are coming down, I think that’s the progress.
“My role model Asiwaju Tinubu is the President of the country, and I have been following him up during the time of SDP. I was in the same political party with him in SDP, and he was our leader in Lagos as of that time.
“I’ve been waiting for him to contest, and today he’s the President. I am happy with the initiative he has propelled this country that needs to be vetted in a solid foundation.
“I’m happy as an APC member today, and I’m going to work with the leadership of APC in the grassroots and make sure that APC takes over Delta State in 2027.
“To start with, APC will take over the House of Assembly on my local government, which I will produce by his grace, APC will take over my federal constituency where I have spent 12 years” he said.
Receiving Hon. Ossai on behalf of the National Chairman of APC, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Secretary, Senator Bashir Ajibola commended Ossai for abandoning PDP and its already dilapidated structure.
He pointed out that Nigerians would not trust the PDP that cannot even put its house in order to rule the country.
Sen. Ajibola informed that one of APC cardinal objectives is to revitalise the All Progressives Congress, to make it stronger and to bring seasoned politicians who are capable of ensuring that in all elections in the nooks and crannies of Nigeria, APC will be there to win the election.
“it is my joy to welcome you not only to the headquarters of the APC but to the vault of the progressives and the team that is working seriously renewed the hope of the Nigerian people.
“I congratulate you for seeing these laudable achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. Of course, you also alluded to the fact that the President is the person that has been a beacon of hope to the teaming Nigerian people and that is why I doubt there’s any politician in Nigeria that has radiate hope and support for many politicians, especially younger politicians in Nigeria, rather than Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Of course, of all political parties in Nigeria, our party continues to wax stronger and you see opposition parties, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party are in a serious crisis occasioned by inordinate ambitions and lack of proper coordination” he opines.
