Honourable Samuel Akala Gajere, the immediate past Chairman of Karu Local Government Council of Nasarawa State has dismissed alleged media allegations of involvement in anti-party activities by James Thomas and Karu APC stakeholders that led to the poor outing of APC party in Karu Local Government at both the state and national assembly elections.
Gajere declared that, the leaders of anti party in Karu Local Government Area are James Thomas, Executive Chairman of Karu LGA, Prof Mikail Umar Gurku, Former Commissioner of Science, Technology and Innovation, Former Member Maiyaki David, who could not even win his APC primary elections for himself, talk more delivering the Governor.
The former Karu Council Chairman also pointed out that Thomas and his cohort all worked against the party at the recently concluded House of Assembly and National Assembly elections in their preference for the candidates of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and challenge them to put forward election results of their polling units and wards which he would present his for the avoidance of doubts.
Gajere who made the disclosure in a press statement on Tuesday and made available to Reportcircle News online explained that some group in a press conference at the instance of the Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Hon. James Thomas with some few acclaimed stakeholders of the APC, accused him of casting aspersions on the person of His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and his office.
The former Karu Council Chairman informed that ordinarily he would not join issues with Thomas but it is incumbent on him to set the record straight to avoid misleading the governor and people of Nasarawa State on the true situation of things.
He opined that double standardness is against him principles and philosophy of life, saying “as a person, cannot be here and there at the same time. It’s either I’m with you or I’m not with you which will be evident and clearly demonstrated in my words and actions.
“Everyone knows I’m a loyal party man who over the years has fought tooth and nail for the victory of our party in Karu. it is therefore most laughable to tag me as one who is capable of engaging in anti party activities that led to the defeat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in our Council Area, after their inability to demonstrate leadership, unite and mobilize our members for victory for the party. This is a clear message that the Chairman, James Thomas, Former Member Maiyaki David and the Former Commissioner of Science have all failed woefully in discharging their duties that could have attracted electoral victory for the APC.
“In this same press conference I was pointed to have engaged in anti party activities which led to the poor outing of our party the APC in Karu Local Government at both the state and national assembly elections.
“It is a known fact that I administered Karu Local Government Council to the best of my ability with visible track records of infrastructural projects and sound policies and programmes which attracted attention from within and outside the shores of this country. All of this wasn’t achieved through cluelessness and psychophancy.
“This was out of my share commitment to duties, technical know-how and global exposure. At the risk of sounding immodest, I was adjudged the Best Chairman in Nasarawa State, even His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule confirms this at different fora.
It is worthy of note that I have the highest respect for the office of the governor and the person of his Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State and on no fora, was I seen or heard calling the governor names in an attempt to bring him and his good office to public ridicule.
“In 2019, as the Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, I championed the campaign that saw to the victory of Engr Abdullahi A. Sule in Karu Local Government Area, even against the wish of the self acclaimed stakeholders who are today brandishing lies without shame against my person.
“That I was not the Chairman of the Council Area and the Governor lost his election in Karu Local Governments has vindicated me and further shows the outright rejection of the Council Chairman and his few APC self acclaimed stakeholders in Karu, who have completely lost touch with the grassroot” he narrated.
“The leaders of anti party in Karu Local Government Area are James Thomas, Executive Chairman of Karu LGC, Prof Mikail Umar Gurku, Former Commissioner of Science, Technology and Innovation, Former Member Maiyaki David, who could not even win his APC primary elections for himself, talk more delivering the Governor.

He stressed that accusing him of anti party activities is trying to be politically correct, because they can not be more catholic than the pope.
Gajere advised the coronated Thomas to deploy more energy and resources to rescue his failed and directionless Government, instead struggling to read a common written speech filled with lies, and embarking on a voyage of wasting public resources on media.
“This is a great disservice to the sacrifices I have made and continue to make for the party in our Council Area and across the state.
“The self acclaimed stakeholders should just bury their heads in shame instead, and continue lobbying political patronage to ensure their survival.
“At this point, in the interest of my Council Area, I strongly advise the coronated Executive Chairman of Karu LGC, James Thomas to deploy more energy and resources to rescue his failed and directionless Government, instead struggling to read a common written speech filled with lies, and embarking on a voyage of wasting public resources on media.
“Finally, I will like to emphatically state that, all my media engagements and opinions expressed therein are completely based on my personal conviction and truth.
“They are entirely my personal opinions and not that of the few self acclaimed stakeholders. I’m an independent minded technocrat, who stands firmly for the law and truth. Therefore, the general public should disregard their lies and empty threats, as it’s their stock in trade for survival” Gajere laments.
