Iftar: Nigeria Stands Chance to Provide Leadership to other Black Nations Says Dalung

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has said that Nigeria stand a greater chance as the most surplus black Nation to champion and provide leadership for the Negros.

The Minister who disclosed this to newsmen during the Fifth Edition of Iftar with a Renowned Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi in his residence in Kaduna lamented that this could be achieved if Nigerians desist from hate speech but preach love, peace, unity and embrace each other to build a country where all will benefit.

Barrister Dalung called on Nigerians to embrace peace, love and practice a justice, adding that peace is not a good neighbor of injustices and the leaders should love from the realm of hypocrites and deceit but rather embrace reality.

“The essence of coming here today is to call Nigerians to embrace peace, love and practice a justice.

“This marked the fifth edition of breaking of fast with the renowned Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi and we hope that this will go a long way to promote peaceful co-existence among the diverse” Bar. Dalung opin.

The Minister was of the opinion that Christianity and Islam delivered in one God, saying both religions may have their ways of worshiping but that the central message is that there is only one God.

He stressed that all the things that are happening in the country such as shading of blood of the innocent, killing of each other, the preaching of hatred in the name of religion is never endorsed by any of the Holy Scripture.

Barrister Dalung therefore described Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi as a symbol of unity to Nigerian and hoped that the breaking of fast would further strengthen and cement bonds of love and friendship between Muslims and Christians community in Nigeria, especially in Kaduna State.

“The Sheikh has continued to prove to be a peace lover and that is the reason why our leaders must move away from deceitful act and emulate the Sheikh in his struggle to promote peace among Nigerians” he stressed.

Also speaking, the Pastor of Christian Evangelical Life Intervention Ministry, Pastor Yohanna Buru who is with the Ministers entourage expressed both religious commitment to ensure religious harmony exists between the two major religions, not just in Nigeria, but in neighboring countries.

Earlier, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi described peaceful co-existence as an ingredient for the growth and development of the country and prayed for love and friendship to continue to spread across the nation while thanking Barrister Dalung for sharing iftar with him along with his following Christian clergy.
