The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refuted a report on the resumption date for the Continuous Voter Registration, (CVR) and the replacement of lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
This was made available to newsmen in a press statement by Rotimi Oyekanmi, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the INEC Chairman on Tuesday in Abuja.
Oyekanmi informed that the attention of INEC had been drawn to a misleading report circulating that the CVR and PVC replacement would resume on May 27.
The CPS described the report as untrue, stressing that the commission had not yet set a resumption date.
He called on the public to disregard the false information.
