I’will re-position Nigeria journalists to compete against foreign counterpart – NUJ Presidential Aspirant

The leading Presidential aspirant of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Comrade Chris Isiguzo has affirmed that if elected the National President of the Union, he will re-position Nigeria journalists by making them competitive with their foreign counterpart around the world.

Comrade Isiguzo gave the assurance while unveiling his mission and programs for the Union during his manifesto when he led members of his campaign team ‘Rescue Mission Movement’ tour to Kaduna State Council of NUJ, North West Nigeria on the 11th of September, 2018.

The former National Ex-Officio and current Vice-President, Zone ‘C’ South-East of NUJ who attested that he is a consummate leader per excellence lamenting lack of technological know-how among journalists and maintained that he would partner with foreign media organization in providing training for journalists across the state of the Federation by placing emphasis on I. C.T. compliance for those in the field.

The Presidential aspirant at the forthcoming delegate’s conference of the Union stressed his commitment towards building a formidable Union that has undying determination to improving on the welfare individual members of NUJ.

He then promises to re-position the International Institution of Journalism (IIJ) to becomes fully fledged university, fight non-payment of salaries by some media owners, catalyzed the establishment of stabilization fund to end high rate of bankruptcy in the media industry.

Comrade Isiguzo called on Kaduna members of the Union to join his mission to rescue the Union from ineptitude, lackluster leadership and division crippling various councils, pointing out that NUJ must be professionally run to earn her respect nationally and internationally with the welfare of members at the centre state of all its programmes and activates.
