Kad Police Command Arrest, Parade 14 Criminals with 2 Female Lead Kidnappers

In its relentless and vigorous fight against crime and criminality in Kaduna state, the police command has arrest and paraded 14 criminal suspects, among them are 2 females for killing a man after collecting N1.5m ransom.

The State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Ahmad Abdurrahman while parading the suspects at the Command Headquarters in Kaduna on Tuesday, 18th of December, 2018 said kidnapping has taken a new turn with females leading the gang.

He said the arraested two female alleged kidnappers Hashiya Dauda, 23, and Safara’u Mohammed Tahir, 23 are among the criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, being in possession of fire arms, culpable homicide, theft, receiving stolen property, armed robbery, possession of stolen vehicle, being in possession of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa respectively, adding that the Command also recovered 5 vehicles during the operation and 2 Dane guns.

CP Abdurrahman said the suspects have confessed to the various roles they played in the commission of the respective crimes they be are be being alleged and will be arraigned in Court of competent jurisdiction of completion of investigations.

“Today, I am pleased to inform you that the command within the last few days has succeeded in arresting 14 criminal suspects and recovered 5 vehicles among other items.

“The suspects are as follows for criminal conspiracy, kidnapping and being in possession of firearms.”

“Items recovered from the suspects include 2 Dane guns; 1 black Toyota Matrix with Reg.No.PHC833AGU, chasis: 2T1LR32E03C035628; 1 Toyota Highlander (Ash in colour, Chasis No.JTEDP21A340041286); 1 Camry 2006/2007 Model (Chassis No.4TIBE46K180261020) and 1 black Focus Ford (Chassis No.6XYGCDBXT40036).

“Others include: 1 Green Mercedes C230 (Chassis No. UF33CN6RE85104087); large quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa” CP stressed.

The Police Commissioner assured the people of the state the command will continue to be alive to its responsible to ensure that Crime is brought to the barest minimum.

He reminded members of the public that possessions or demonstrations of be all kinds still remained banned in Kaduna, staying police and other law enforcement agencies will not hesitate to be deal with any person or group of persons who seek to violate the lawful order as the law will be brought to bear heavily on any group.

The Police Commissioner appealed to political stakeholders to continue to play the game by the rules and avoid hate speeches during campaign rallies and desist from using Youth ad thugs to ensure violence-free election in 2019.
