The 2018 Igbo Community Welfare Association (ICWA) Cultural Day will be celebrated on Saturday, 1st of December, 2018 by 10:00 am at Prisons Staff Training College, Barnawa, Kaduna South local government of the State.
The Igbo Day celebration, under the distinguished Chairmanship of Ozo Dr. Anyaka George Odoh (KSJI), Ezeanochie 1 & Ozo Eklayi of Umulumgbe & Umunri is being celebrated every year to mark the existence of the tribe in every State of the Federation.
The occasion is to remind that the Igbo’s in every state, both old and young, children and women must not forget where they came from, their traditions and cultural beliefs which bound them together no matter where they found themselves.
The annual Igbo Cultural Day is also the platform which strengthens all the Igbo’s both home, in Diaspora and the opportunity for the future ones to learn their fathers traditions, language and culture even far away from home.
2018 Igbo Cultural Day will show case different cultural dances the Igbos is known for, from different local governments of the entire Igbo speaking areas.

The Chief Host of the occasion is the President-General Igbo Community Welfare Association (ICWA), Kaduna, Chief Barrister Chris Nnoli (KSM) who will deliver a welcome address.
Special guest of honour is His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai. He will be joined by Governors Dr. David Nwaze Umahi of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Executive Governor of Abia State.
Others are His Excellency, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano, the Executive Governor of Anambra State and His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the Executive Governor of Imo State.
Other guests that will grace the occasion are Senators, Royal Fathers, Fathers of the Day, guest speaker, Chiefs and friends of the Igbos.
