The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the personal details of governorship candidates and their running mates for the Anambra State election, slated for November 8, 2025.
The publication includes Form EC9 and accompanying documents, such as academic credentials, submitted by the candidates.
The INEC’s National Commissioner, Sam Olumekun in a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja stated that the documents are available for scrutiny at the State Headquarters and 21 Local Government offices across Anambra State.
The Commission encouraged Nigerians to review the documents and challenge any false information in a Federal High Court, as provided by Section 29(5) of the Electoral Act 2022.
The final list of candidates, according to INEC will be published on June 9, 2025, at least 150 days before the election, in line with Section 32(1) of the Electoral Act 2022.
