The Mitetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) Kaduna State has called on the Federal Government to create a livestock Ministry to cater for abundant livestock products owned by Fulani race in Nigeria as the utmost solution to the farmers and Fulani herdsmen conflict in the country.

The call is contained in a press statement issued after the end of an extraordinary meeting of its Youth Association and signed by the National Youth Leader, Mallam Modibbo Abdilkareem Bayero which was made and made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Monday.

According to him, thousands of Fulani youths who reared cattle as their occupation activities have been placed on uncertainty as their livestock in Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba and Kaduna States are ransacked by the local farmers.

Mallam Bayero emphasized that urgent needed to be done for the withdrawal of the so-called anti-open grazing exhibition law staged by Benue and Taraba State Governors.

The National Youth Leader also mentioned that thousands of the nomad’s livestock are daily rustled by the livestock guards recruited by the Governors who now used military weapons for their unconstitutional operation.

The Association was of the opinion that the Federal Government should enforce state of emergency in Benue States as Governor Emmanuel Ortom has already recruited private security outfit from his natives to invade the nomad’s settlements in the State.

They however appealed to the Government of Nigeria so salvage Fulani ethnic race from the ongoing blackmail and intimidation meted on them by famer’s communities across the Country.
