The Executives of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) FCT Chapter has extended warm Christmas greetings to all, reminding the importance of joyous season to unity, peace, and compassion.
In a press statement by the Chairman of the NAWOJ, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang and made available to newsmen by Nkiru Okeke, the Secretary in Abuja informed that their dedication and resilience have been inspiring, and together, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones in promoting women’s rights and championing justice.
“As women journalists, we remain committed to advocating for women’s and children’s rights, amplifying vulnerable voices, and contributing to societal growth through ethical journalism.
“We appreciate the support and collaboration from the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, the Federal Ministry of Health, and the African Health Budget Network (AHBN) – Dr. Aminu Garba Magashi. We also thank our friends at Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA), SHE FORUM AFRICA, Prof. Ezekiel, Aunty Moji Makanjuola, Mandate Secretary Women Affairs – Dr. Dayo Benjamins, Aunty Evelyn Onyilo, late Rafat Salami and others for their encouragement and counsel.
“Special appreciation goes to our National Chairperson, Aunty Aisha Ibrahim, and Exco for leading us forward. We welcome the newly elected NUJ FCT Exco and look forward to a successful partnership.
