The All Progressive Congress Governorship candidate for the 2019 Election in Ebonyi State, Senator Sonni Ogbuoji says he will pay whatever is the agreed National Minimum wage if voted into power.
The Governorship Candidate in a press statement at the flag of his campaign in Abakaliki, said apart from paying the agreed minimum wage, oppressive taxation that has crippled businesses and families shall be abolished by his government while permanent secretaries shall be appointed as soon as he assume office.
He added that pensioners would be taken proper off by paying their pension and gratuity.
He assured that he would hand over power after his first four years in office as according to him, his coming into power was to correct some abnormalities course by the current PDP government in the state accusing the current government of running hardened government.
“For the umpteenth time, I want to state that I, Sunday Ogbuoji, shall spend only one term of four years, as Governor”.
“I promise Ebonyi never to alienate or mortgage the future of the state or take it back to Egypt and the plunderers and slave drivers from Egypt it left through the labour of our founding fathers in 1996”.
“We will together build Ebonyi into economic prosperity and raise the literacy rate and stand proud among our great Igbo brothers and sisters” he said.
Senator Ogbuoji alleged that Ebonyi state Governor leads the state with his wife not with the deputy governor as contained in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.
He however promise never to run such selfish government when in power even as he expressed optimism that he was going to win the 2019 governorship election of Ebonyi state .
“As natives, you would have observed from Billboards all over the state that the Governor rules the state with his wife and not with the deputy governor as constitutionally stated.
“Umahi has talked down on everyone for these years and none matters to him because the instruments of power to him constituted intimidation, arrogance, disregard for your being and dignity” He stressed.
He said all the senatorial zones of the state has benefited from him as a senator especially at the educational sector that some of the areas he attracted projects include Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Ikwo, Akanuibiam federal polytechnic, Unwana, Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu in Ivo local government, Federal Teaching hospital, Abakaliki, National Obstetrics and fistula centre, Abakaliki and Ebonyi state college of Education Ikwo.
