The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has commended the troops of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army for their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices.
The Governor made this known during the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) Interdenominational Church Service held on June 29, 2025, at Salvation Baptist Church, Jalingo and made available to newsmen in a press statement in Abuja by Captain OLUBODUNDE ONI, Acting Assistant Director

Governor Kefas, a retired military officer, reaffirmed his unflinching support for the Nigerian Army, describing it as his “first constituency.”
He lauded the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede, for his visionary leadership and praised the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, saying, “I am very proud of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army.”
– The Governor emphasized the importance of the well-being, loyalty, and spiritual devotion of military personnel.
– He charged officers and soldiers to remain committed to the Nigerian Army, God, and constituted authority.
– The Commander 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, highlighted the theme for this year’s celebration: “Developing the Soldier First Concept: Imperative for Nigerian Army Transformation Drive.”
The Assistant Director, 6 Brigade Chaplain (Protestant), Major Reverend S. Samaila, delivered a sermon on the theme “The Loyalty of a Soldier as Catalyst to Transformation.”
The event was marked with vibrant song and dance presentations by various church groups and was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, clergy, and members of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), among others.
