The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has unleashed coordinated airstrikes across Kwara State, targeting hostile elements in a series of decisive operations that reaffirm the military’s dominance in the skies.
On 28 September 2025, fighter jets under Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) Sector 3 executed reconnaissance, close air support, and precision strikes in Kakihun, Oke-ode, Babanla, and surrounding settlements.
Hostile fighters spotted east of Babanla were neutralized in direct hits, while surveillance aircraft mapped enemy movements and gathered intelligence to reinforce ground troop operations.
Military sources confirmed that all missions were successful, with no compromise to troops or civilians.
The operations, they stressed, send a clear message: the Air Force is maintaining air superiority and keeping relentless pressure on threats to Nigeria’s peace and security.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF spokesperson, assured Nigerians that the force remains unyielding in defending territorial integrity and protecting communities.
He urged citizens to remain vigilant and continue backing the Armed Forces as decisive strikes roll on to crush hostile elements once and for all.
