The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has unleashed devastating firepower on terrorist strongholds in the North-East, neutralising more than 25 fighters in a coordinated night assault around the Bula Yobe–Banki axis.
The operation, carried out on 18 September 2025 by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (AC OPHD), followed actionable intelligence from ground troops.
A strike package of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and attack aircraft was swiftly deployed.
Surveillance teams tracked multiple groups of terrorists north of Banki and relayed real-time updates to both ground forces and base operations.
This intelligence paved the way for a blistering assault.
Strike aircraft launched three successive precision attacks, decimating fighters along their movement routes and assembly areas.
Post-strike assessments confirmed that more than 25 terrorists were neutralised, while ground forces held their defensive lines without further threat.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, said the successful strikes underscore the air force’s determination to deny terrorists freedom of action.
“This operation is a clear demonstration of our resolve to crush terrorism and secure Nigeria’s North-East once and for all,” he declared.
With the skies now deadlier for insurgents, NAF has signaled that nowhere is safe for terror gangs plotting to destabilise the region.
