NAF’s Precision Strike: IED Factory, Gun Trucks Destroyed in Tumbuktu Triangle

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully conducted an airstrike on a terrorist Improvised Explosive Device (IED) factory and gun trucks in Kwaltiri, Borno State, as part of Operation HADIN KAI.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information,
Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force noted that the operation, carried out on June 18, 2025, was based on intelligence reports and surveillance confirming terrorist activity in the area.

According to him, the Key Outcomes are:

– *Destruction of IED Factory:* The airstrike destroyed the IED-making site, disrupting the terrorists’ ability to manufacture explosives.

– *Elimination of Terrorists:* Dozens of fighters were eliminated, dealing a significant blow to the terrorist group’s manpower and morale.

– *Degradation of Operational Capacity:* The destruction of gun trucks and logistics capabilities has severely impacted the terrorists’ ability to move and operate in the region.

He informed that the NAF’s operation demonstrates its commitment to enhancing security in the North East and degrading terrorist capabilities.

Air Commodore Ejodame affirmed that the successful strike is expected to have a lasting impact on the terrorists’ ability to carry out attacks and maintain control in the region.
