Niger State to benefit 20m dollars national health care intervention fund

The Director, Planning and Statistics of State Ministry of Health Niger State, Pharmacist Hamza Tijani says the State is to benefit from the 20 million dollars National Health Care intervention funds.

The Director who stated this when he received members of COMiN on an advocacy visit to this office also said the Abia and Osun States ate to benefit from the fund.

Pharmacist Hamza Tijani said the State is expected to receive 1.5 billion naira that will be channeled towards Primary Health Care Service, National Health Insurance Scheme, Accident and Emergency Services.

He  noted that arrangement are in top gear for the take-off of the contributory health scheme for civil servants and other groups in the state and commended members of the Coalition for the advocacy and hard work which has been supported to the government in the provision of functional health care services delivery in the state.

Earlier, the Chairperson of COMiN, Mrs. Mary Jalingo said the Coalition was in the Ministry to collaboration and seek areas of partnership to improve primary health care delivery system in the state.

She added that the Coalition also paid a similar visit to the Permanent Secretary, Planning Commission, Alhaji Usman Musa Dalau where the CoMiN Chairperson sought for the support of the Commission in areas of budget report releases to enable the Coalition work effectively in the areas of budget tracking report on health.

You will agree with me that as part of the communique at the end of a round table meeting of members of CoMiN in Niger State, Mrs. Mary Jalingo observed that there is need for the Coalition to scale up their advocacy especially the media in sensitizing the public to avail their children the opportunity to be immunized against all forms of child killer diseases
