The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has earned a resounding endorsement from the United States Government for its exceptional readiness ahead of the highly anticipated delivery of AH-1Z helicopters.
This significant milestone in Nigeria’s defense partnership with the U.S. comes as a direct result of the NAF’s meticulous planning, preparation, and commitment to operational excellence.
During a high-stakes, three-day engagement at the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters in Abuja, a U.S. delegation from the U.S. Government’s PMA-276 led by Robert Galan praised NAF’s comprehensive program and support plan to integrate and sustain the new fleet of attack helicopters.
The U.S. team specifically highlighted NAF’s readiness to house and operate the AH-1Z helicopters at designated facilities, a key component of the success of the delivery.
In a show of force and professionalism, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdullahi, who confirmed that NAF would meet all operational, technical, and logistical requirements to ensure the helicopters are immediately combat-ready upon arrival.
